
A lifelong Texas-born native, Mr. Norrell graduated from Texas Christian University as a Dean’s Scholar. He attended Texas A&M School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude and served as an editor of the Law Review. Having clerked for two Texas appellate judges, Mr. Norrell has extensive experience in business law, civil law and contracts, criminal defense, school law, military law, and family law.
Mr. Norrell has represented clients, including both individuals and corporations, in complex litigation including claims involving breach of contract, negligence, products liability, construction defect, defamation, employment law, breach of warranty, and insurance coverage matters. His experience includes state and federal court practice all across Texas in cases ranging from catastrophic personal injury, construction and trucking accidents, negligence, medical malpractice, family law, elder law, wills and probate litigation, school anti-bullying and student's rights cases, military separation and retirement cases, and all types of criminal cases and appeals.
Mr. Norrell’s professional goals include client-focused representation starting with pre-trial, trial, and appeal to the highest Texas appellate courts, including both the Texas Supreme Court and Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. An extensive part of the firm's practice also includes legal consulting and planning for businesses and individuals outside of court, with a long-term strategic focus. Mr. Norrell lives in Weatherford with his wife and two sons. He is an avid supporter of his local church, swimmer, and tennis player.
